The God Star and the True Story
Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad-Gita
Lord Krishna, a k a - God
In most religions, God is regarded as a separate entity, with heaven as His abode where souls which are saved rise to.
With Krishna it is different - Krishna is God and He is Heaven (with a capital H) as well. Heaven is regarded as a place, as a space, or some vast region. In Vaishnava terms, Heaven is essentially a region encompassing the whole universe and more which has consciousness and is sentient, Heaven is a living space. It is similar to the saying,"Those hills are alive". Although Heaven is alive it does not talk or communicate like as an anthropomorphic being.
Krishna is the real deal, Krishna is the Heaven as described above incarnated as a human being and Vishnu is Heaven's incarnation in the Heavens if that is the appropriate term.
This is the difference between Krishna and other Gods - whereas other Gods are regarded as entities, Krishna an immeasurable aware region consciousness as well.
To look at Krishna is the same as looking into Heaven, the conscious, sentient, living Heaven. In effect being in Krishna's company is the same as having God by your side, as well as seeing (into) Heaven as well, a Heaven before your eyes as well as the Heaven you to be focusing on at death. Seeing Krishna is seeing the Heaven here and the Heaven there at once. Krishna is a person whose very being is made of the very substance Heaven is made of. It is Krishna's kindness that He incarnated to give devotees a vision of what all their endeavours are about.
What could be a greater kindness, incentivising and confidence inspiring act could there be than Heaven/God showing Itself to people that are aiming towards It before they get to see if for real after death (if they are successful)?
The thing is that if God comes earth to be at your side without being accompanied by Heaven, you would still have Heaven to look to. Krishna gives you Heaven to focus on, so even if He leaves your side, you have still seen what Heaven is and know how to focus on it.
This Heaven is also a personal Heaven which we are intimately linked to as well as being impersonal. So in effect when we pray to Krishna we are not praying to personal God we are praying to conscious, sentient Heaven as well we should revere.
